So How do You Design a Product like this Anyway?

You can expect Omax to work. Don't confuse the Omax with any toy or novelty, When we designed the Omax we looked at the products sold on the world market and decided to rethink the whole concept.

We knew we could do better. We're a design company & work for most of the Far Eastern electrical goods manufacturers. They, in turn supply the household brands you know, like Braun, Clairol, Kenwood, Sunbeam,Windmere, Hitachi, Carmen, Moulinex, Philips, Panasonic etc etc. We set to work.

What's its secret?
This is how it works. Take a look at the revolving counter-weight (coloured yellow) in the diagram. Think for one moment about how it's positioned relative to a women's body when you use it together. That's the difference. The principal stimulation happens here. Just in the right place.

This design also means you can have a bigger & more powerful motor because you're not limited in space in the way you would be if you were to position the motor down the tip of the handle- as in the usual designs. The combination of a high-grade Ni-cad rechargeable power-pack (coloured green in the diagram) and a large 50mm DC motor (coloured blue) is the reason the design works so well. And, why it produces the power it does. (For the electricians amongst you, it pulls over 1.6 Amps, from the power-pack, that's three times more than the nearest disposable cell powered novelty). That's where the power comes from. And there's a three stage switch to allow you to have anything from the most gentle stimulation to the most intensive of settings.

We asked people what they wanted.
We've found that customers are happy to pay for quality, so we haven't skimped on anything in the design. We talked to women that use sex-industry products regularly. We'd been told by many couples that current designs were low powered and expensive to run.

Once we'd coaxed it out of them...
Many couples confessed that that they'd used a sex-toy 'once' unsuccessfully. They'd tell us, "The thing ends up in the bedside cabinet collecting dust." Looking at the existing designs we could see why. And from what we found out, we knew we could design something infinitely better!

The work we did in 'R&D'
Q: Why did we make it rechargeable?

We wanted a design that very powerful and cheap to run. A big motor needs a lot of power. Space was restricted & standard disposable batteries from Duracell, Ever-ready etc etc, come in set sizes like AA, AAA etc. We needed three cells to achieve the torque/power curve of the motor we wanted to power. No standard size disposable cell is available to run such a motor in the limited space. ("C" & "D" cells are too large) Our solution is. . .

A custom size power-pack
We solved the problem by fitting a custom size power-pack to take up all the available space and give the power for the design to work with all women. The diagram above is from our drawing office and is actually a cut-away we used to manufacture the moulds for the design. It shows the major components, including the switch, the charge indicator LED and the charge socket. The full product design story is a long one, but it's been successful. The product was extensively tested by women during the design phase and modified to suit their needs. We won't bore you with any more, we can assure you Omax works, we designed it that way.
